What was the highlight of Awa Resort Koh Chang
Great resort at an extremely reasonable price.
Loved the wide beachfront of this hotel, lots of room for guests to spread out, unlike other hotels we've stayed in. Our room was big, clean, and the balcony had a great daybed. Location can't be beat, everything within walking distance, not necessary to rent a scooter. Staff was incredible, each one strived to make our stay more enjoyable. Happy hours run several times a day, with lots of wait staff making the rounds to make sure all guests were looked after. Some nights they had live music on the beach and a weekly fire show.
The breakfast buffet was mediocre, the coffee machine needs to be upgraded, it made extremely subpar brews. Like all other hotels, there were never enough sun beds for everyone, most people reserved chairs with towels and didn't show up to claim them until hours later. Our room had incredibly high humidity, like water on the walls and flat surface. After sharing this with the front desk they did put a dehumidifier in the room which made a world of difference and allowed us to fully enjoy the room. The water pressure is not the best, I think because the hotel is so big and it was full when we stayed there. The bed was super comfortable but the pillows were too hard for me, would be nice if there were soft pillows available. We would stay here again if it weren't for the pillows!

Wonderful
The resort is very clean, the staff was super friendly and pleasant. Pool is great, breakfast really nice. Great quality for reasonable price. Would definitely come back to this place and recommend to others :)

Very Good
The area is really lovely and all in all was the Awa a beautiful place to stay. The rooms are spacious and clean and the stuff was very friendly and helpful. The pool is great to take a swim and you can walk to the ocean. There is no sandy beach at the hotel but just walking distance away so I didn't mind.
All in all it was great. The WiFi was often out or not strong. But I was here in low season so that's normal for the island. Also the room was sometimes a little bit moist but this might also be a rainy season Problem. The breakfast was not my favorite.
